What are you thinking about right now? Are you thinking about what you just ate for breakfast? Or who you will be meeting with for dinner tonight?

When, if ever, are we completely absorbed in the now — the present?

It feels like most of the time our brain is confused with everything but the moment. Rarely do we appreciate nature. Rarely do we appreciate the people that we spend the most time with. Rarely do we see the little things that make up our perspectives.

Why?

Because we are so obsessed with what is happening next. We worry about what will change. What will not change. We worry about competing. We think about winning.

We want the future to come faster…but for what?

What will flying cars help us do? Will they make us happier?

Or will they give us another rung to step on only to look forward further for the next thing?

When will we simply live in the present? And if so, how do we get there?
