Roles

I find the Chief of Staff role to be very interesting for people who want to accelerate their careers. Effectively, a chief of staff for forward looking founders give young people intimate access into the company’s hardest and most valuable mindset of problems.

This is rare. This is unique.

And every day surely looks different.

I think, if you really find the right founder to go all in on, it can be very valuable to get close with them and become their Chief of Staff. This may be most valuable, though, at a slightly later stage company, as in early stage most of the fun things lie with operational roles.

I think another really interesting role is the “EIR” or entrepreneur in residence. I may be looking to explore this role on day as it enables people with freedom and resources to be creative and take risks.
