I think one of the things most people, myself included, struggle with is expectation management. Will something succeed? What do I want to get out of it ?

Life is all about expectations. High expectations can set you up for disappointment. Low expectations make sure that you see all the negative aspects.

There really is no extrema that is the perfect rule of thumb. But it is important to realize that expectations are everything. In college. In sports. In teams. In food.

ESPECIALLY, for people starting a company.

Founders must put in energy into something that they believe in without knowing if/what they will get out of it. It’s risky. It’s not always mathematical, there is not always a linear output.

Serial founders have different expectations than first time noobs.

Serial founders are in it for the long game, off the bat. But that still excites them.
