How do you learn to learn? Better yet, how do you help other people learn to learn? In other words, how do you teach the ability to learn faster? How do you make people more curious? How do you have them ask the “right questions?”
I think these are all fundamental questions for companies.
The best companies, I think, learn the fastest. That is really all it comes down to. How fast can you learn about your customer (external) and your team (internal).
Externally, the best companies empathize with and understand their user. They know what they want – before they even want it.
Internally, the best companies empathize and understand their own employees. They know what everyone wants – before they even want it.
Once again, this comes down to a fundamental understanding of incentives. It is a topic I keep coming back to because I really think it is incredibly valuable.
