Building a business, especially early on, is a sequence of two things: execution and tough decisions.

You work really really hard on something. It likely fails. People tell you it’s dumb. Then you have to make a hard decision.

The same thing happens. You work really really hard on something. It does well! People love it! Then you have to make a doubly hard decision.

The hard part, about all these tough decisions, is that there are no right answers. No one knows the answers. If someone does tell you they know the answers, they are:

a) lying to you

b) trying to sell you something

c) eh idk

It’s really hard. No one ever said it was going to be easy.

Do not build a business if you think it is going to be easy.

I am in the camp that you should build a business because you have to. Either you need to innovate, need to accelerate the inevitable, have this need and urge to change the way things are.

To make things better.
