Lately, I have been working really hard on lots of different things. My days have been all over the place. I have been traveling. Writing. Working on projects. Schoolwork. Talking to companies. Meeting new people.
We are all busy people.
We all have our plates full. We are all over committed.
It can be stressful. Many times, I have wanted to quit everything. Many times, I have wanted to give up on everything.
I see tons of people around me — accomplishing way more than me at an even younger age — and it is easy to get jealous. It is easy to let my ego intertwine with my emotions.
I find comfort in a few things:
1) Internal validation is far more important to me than what others think / do.
2) We are all human. Saying this is far different from truly understanding this notion. Once you realize this, your ability to be confident in tough situations completely changes.
It starts with this key realization:
At the end of the day, I am just trying my best. I think the comforting thing to think about is that we all really are.
Talk to Fortune 500 CEOs. Talk to your fellow classmates. Talk to interns.
We are all just working hard to make things happen. Right?
