On days like today, where I am quite literally running back and forth to get things done, I feel as if I do not have time to write and publish a decent blog post.

But then I remember that I am really my own judge and am reminded of why I am writing these posts in the first place. It is to exercise my mind and practice thinking out loud.

I am rarely happy with the end result of my blog posts. These are often half-baked ideas that deserve and require significant attention and research.

Yet… I often just hit publish and carry on.

Why?

Because I am not writing for an audience. I am not writing to master a certain topic. I am not writing with someone in mind.

I am writing just to think.

And this is how I think.

Stream of consciousness is not about being perfect. It is about being wholly present and at peace. And that is what this writing space has turned into.

It is not optimized for word count, SEO, or user experience. It is optimized for simplicity. It is optimized such that I can spend a concentrated amount of time (of my choosing) on a specific thought or idea and just hit publish.

And carry on.

Repeat.
