This is my first time in Barcelona and I have been here for a few days now staying with friends. I have been to Europe before but coming here has been a great reminder of how much I enjoy the European culture/lifestyle.
The first thing I have noticed, perhaps over anything, is just how relaxed and chill people are here. People eat lunch for 2–3 hours. People go to get drinks for 2–3 hours. It is super cool. Not much urgency.
At the same time, though, it seems to me that living a happy/enjoyable lifestyle is a high priority here. I would say the same about the US, but here it seems to be emphasized more.
We have been going out really late at night and it has been awesome to explore the different areas of the (actually quite big) city.
The food is great, too.
