For the first time in a while, my calendar for today is completely empty. I say that not as a boast about how “busy” (or really fake busy) my usual schedule is. No, there are no awards for full calendars.
Today, though, I recognize that I have literally nothing on the agenda. There is nothing that I must do today. There is no one depending on me for anything.
Surely there are things I want to do. There are also things that I do not want to do, but have the option to do today to “get ahead” for the future. I have homework, I have things to organize, and I have projects to work on.
But often, it is really refreshing to have nothing, literally nothing, on the calendar. A day of nothingness. How often do you have one?
