If you know me personally, you know that I am a big “fan” of the Fast and the Furious movies. Take that as you wish, I think they are hysterical.
The quotes, especially are my favorite.
So I thought to abstract a learning from those movies…
Of the many, one sticks out. It is to live life a quarter mile at a time.
I think that we glorify this idea of looking past that. We are pressured by society to come up with some 10 year plan just for the sake of having an acceptable answer.
But why?
What is the point?
The world changes so quickly…the only thing planning so far in advance does for me is make me lost track of the present.
If I am always marching towards the “next” thing…then when am I enjoying the current?
