You may have heard a different story, but here is a list of things that do not qualify you as a hustler (IMO). While no one cares if you actually are classified as a hustler or not, this was fun (kinda) to write.
I hope I don’t do any of these things.
Things That Do Not Qualify You As A Hustler
Some actually disqualify
- Using any of the following in your Twitter or Linkedin Bio:
- Hustler
- Influencer
- Entrepreneur
- Hustling Entrepreneur
- Influencing Entrepreneur
- Hustling Influencing Entrepreneur
I am sure there are more. These are the phrases, to me, that are indicative of a watch not do mentality. Of course, many exceptions. But c’mon!
2. Lots of Stickers on Your Computer
You know the person — their laptop is full of stickers. (I have a lot of stickers on my water bottle, same thing). That does not qualify you as someone who hustles.
3. You’ve watched a couple of Gary Vaynerchuk’s Videos
Watching is not doing. And a lot of people fall victim to watching everything go by and never doing. While it’s great to get motivated, however you do it, execution is EVERYTHING!!!
Btw, those videos are great — just do something after watching them.
4. You exclusively use a Moleskine Notebook
I kind of laughed at this one.
5. You blog A lot but don’t say much
Oh wait, that’s me.
I feel like this could turn more into a rant than my thoughts…So to avoid that, just do this plz:
