As I prepare for my upcoming travels (to like 15 countries), I have decided to pack rather light for the trip.
For clarity, my definition of light is I am bringing one big suit case and one roll on and my backpack. I guess that is not really light, as I am sure people have done this same trip (and far far more), using just a backpack.
There is something freeing about packing light, though. About putting most everything that you own into a single bag (or two) and having it all conveniently available whenever you need it.
Also, I hate lugging around tons of bags so I want to minimize that as much as possible.
I have also realized, over the years, that I really only wear a few of my outfits. The rest I never touch. So I cut those out of what I am bringing as it reinforces what I find important.
