The World Needs More Chefs

I have long admired the art of creation. I am rooting for a renaissance and hope that technology (+ capitalism) will enable continued prosperity. I hope future societies are rooted in craft, where humanity is able to double down on our gifts (our egos) and live out our childhood dreams even when we “become adults.”

I dream of a future where we stop climbing ladders and everyone starts playing their own games. I think the world needs more chefs – people who hone their craft. It is hard to compare chefs because flavor exists often in the abstract.

I hope future economies support craftsmen (and women). Chefs who operate autonomously, have responsibility over the inputs and outputs of their creations.

Less assembly lines. Less mass manufacturing. We will leave that to the robots.
