Facebook is an absolutely incredible company. At just 11 years old, it must be one of, if not the, most important companies in the world.
Lately, there has been a lot of hate flung towards Facebook for their handling of the newsfeed during the election. Yes this is an important discussion to be had and yes there is a tremendous amount of responsiblity on Facebook and players like it to uphold dignity and morality throughout the product. BUT. Let’s take a step back and appreciate Facebook for what it’s worth.
Specifically, how they are going to dominate the world for the next 10, 20 years.
At the helm of this train: Mark Zuckerberg. He is just 32 years old. (Remember that). And he is running one of the most important companies in the world.
Watch this video and understand exactly how “Zuck” operates and you’ll feel just as bullish on the company.
Lots of people are quick to count out social media companies ~ but we have to understand this key:
Facebook is not going to win because of their current product. It will be outdated in 5-10 years.
They are going to win because they learn faster, and grow quicker than any other company. Pair that with their fortress of barriers to entry – you’ve got a winner – long term.
Don’t count them out. Ever.
